A New Decade, a New Name

From November 11-15, 2019, this organization, then known as GALLOP (the Gay and Lesbian Lawyers of Philadelphia) held an election which included a referendum to change GALLOP’s name. Of the 58% of eligible voters, 82% voted to change GALLOP’s name. Therefore, GALLOP is hereinafter known as the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association.

The November 2019 election also established a new Board of Directors in accordance with its recently-updated Bylaws. These new members of the Board were sworn in by the Hon. Ann Butchart at the Annual Meeting and Holiday Party in December, as pictured below.
